West Craven has really put its self on the map over current years through events such as Balloons over Barlick and French Markets. Local heritage sites have also recently undergone works to improve individual attractions and amenities. Barnoldswick is home to
Bancroft Steam Museum and the historic
St Mary-Le-Ghyll church which is currently seeking funding for a unique bell restoration and ringing project. Earby is home to one of a few outstanding examples of the Lead Mining Industry with a recently refurbished
Lead Mining Museum. West Craven truly does have more to offer than meets the eye. The unique shopping towns do not include chain stores and the shop fronts are all in keeping with heritage. The cobbled paths and central Town Square of Barnoldswick which is a conservation area is aesthetically pleasing to locals and visitors alike.
